When most people think of Orthodontists, they think of braces. This is certainly not an incorrect assumption. Orthodontics is all about straightening the teeth to ensure optimal form and function. Braces are still the primary tool Orthodontists use to achieve that goal. The braces we use today however, are very different from those you might remember.

Even though most people think of pre-teens and teens when they think of
orthodontics, there are good reasons your child should get an orthodontic evaluation much sooner. We recommend a check-up with Dr. Coups Smith no later than age seven. Through an early orthodontic evaluation, you’ll be giving your child the best opportunity for a healthy, beautiful smile.

You need a treatment option that will straighten your teeth quickly and effectively, provide a beautiful appearance during treatment, and address your specific orthodontic needs.
Radiance Plus braces are the ultimate combination of beauty, performance and strength. You will enjoy the benefits of the clearest braces available, while taking comfort in knowing they have the durability your orthodontist needs to effectively deliver your ideal smile.

More than providing an attractive smile, orthodontic treatment also corrects the alignment of the upper teeth to the lower teeth for a more integrated bite. This is called Class II Correction.
Options for Class II treatment have traditionally presented a difficult choice. Until now, your choices were often limited to unsightly headgear. Now you have a more reliable, patient-friendly appliance for Class II correction. The Forsus™ Fatigue Resistant Device is a durable corrector that can be installed in one appointment and requires no patient compliance.

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life.
At Miller Goodman Dentistry, we believe a healthy, confident smile can change everything. Whether you’re looking for early orthodontic care for your child, treatment for your teen, or a discreet option as an adult, our team is here to guide you every step of the way.
